Using SERVPRO for Water Damage in Your Farmington Home
A water leak occurring anywhere within your home can be extremely frustrating. It can also be overwhelming if you are not sure how to clean up and fix the leak. Seeing your home and the items within it damaged can also be frustrating unsettling.
At first thought, water damage in your Farmington home may sound like a huge inconvenience, both to your routine and to your finances. However, with the correct equipment and techniques along with careful planning, SERVPRO restoration professionals can help you make it, “Like it never even happened.” Our technicians continually provide quality services for our customers.
SERVPRO Uses a Process to Complete Restoration
When dispatched to your home, a SERVPRO project manager or crew chief develops a plan right away to get your home back to preloss condition. There are four phases we take when restoring your home:
Project Initiation: After a disaster, you may contact SERVPRO any time of the day, seven days of the week. Our emergency response team comes to your home and assesses the damage at this time once you have authorized technicians to begin work, they may begin emergency mitigation services such as sealing or tarping areas, water extraction, and gathering specialty equipment.
Project Plan: After securing the affected areas, the SERVPRO crew chief creates a plan. During this time, they take moisture readings using moisture sensors and infrared (thermal) imaging to determine the location of water and moisture meters to determine the amount of water, using this information to understand the scope of the damage better. For water damage, SERVPRO project leaders create a demolition plan when needed, and a drying plan that includes gathering and positioning of equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers.
Project Execution: This is the phase when restorers complete their work by removing destroyed materials and drying salvageable materials and contents. Technicians use extraction devices and drying equipment before SERVPRO leaders conduct quality control through this phase of the project to ensure that the worksite, your home, is organized and clean as possible, to disrupt your life the least amount as possible.
Project Closeout: This is the last phase of the project, where SERVPRO professionals work with customers to perform a final review and finish any final touches ensuring customer satisfaction.
