Long Term Pipe Leak

This exposure is due from broken pipe, that had been leaking for an extensive period of time.  These are typically very difficult to notice or address since the damages transpire over time, rather than a one-time, expansive loss.  Unless a property owner is able to see warning sign, it is hard to approach and resolve this issue promptly.  As the photos show, you can see a darker, denser mold growing to the drywall, which is consistent throughout. This is a bit misleading as a viewer, because it could look like a vertical line leak, however as the mold appears to be consistent, it would actually mostly likely be a horizontal leak, as the water is more evenly spread.  This is a wicking up process, as the water pools near the bottom but wicks up the drywall but stays fairly level.  Due to the consistency of the bacterial growth, we needed to make a flood cut above the bacterial growth; this in turn prevents further growth, when treated with anti-microbial and disinfectants to kill the bacteria itself.
