Prolonged Water Heater Leak
This loss is due to a prolonged slow leak from a hot water heater. It is evident that the hot water heater leak, continued to seep wick the moisture and go up the walls itself. The saturation grows progressively up the wall as much as six inches. This happens to the far right as there is likely a slope in the space or flooring. For this reason, it requires a flood cut, and then some in order to mitigate the damages properly and prevent further bacterial growth. This is originally category one/two water – which becomes category three over time due to the bacterial overgrowth that transpires due to not being mitigate or addressed properly.
